Just before 2 p.m. on Friday, April 5, firefighters responded to a report of a residential fire in the 2100 block of K St NE in Auburn. When fire crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed. Crews rescued one person from a side window. Two people were transported to a local hospital with smoke inhalation. Firefighters also rescued two cats and provided them with oxygen. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
