Week 2 Project: THE ROOF

Remove leaves, pine needles, and other flammable material from the roof and gutters. Inspect shingles or roof tiles and replace them if missing. While on the roof, check attic vents to ensure they are covered with 1/8 inch wire mesh to help prevent sparks from entering your home.

Safety note: Please use caution anytime you are using a ladder or on your roof. Be sure to wear proper footwear, choose a clear, calm day to work, use a sturdy ladder, use a safety harness and never work alone. Hire a professional to do the work whenever possible.
