Teen rescued after 150 foot fall down hillside in Auburn
On March 22, VRFA crews, with assistance from Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority, South King Fire & Rescue, and King County Medic One, conducted a rope rescue near the 2800 block of Elm Street SE. A teenager slid approximately 150 feet down an embankment and appeared to have minor injuries. Crews stabilized the patient and brought him up the embankment in a Stokes basket using an intricate rope system.
