VRFA Suspends Community Outreach in Response to COVID-19
The VRFA’s top priority is ensuring the health and safety of our members and the community that we serve. Following recommendations from King County Public Health, and out of an abundance of caution, we are taking proactive and preventative steps to address concerns over COVID-19 exposures or potential exposures. Effective immediately, the following are suspended until further notice:
- CPR/First Aid and all other public education classes
- School Program
- Station Tours
- Engine Visits
- Car Seat Inspections
- Inspections at large assembly areas (health care facilities, health clinics, schools, etc.)
We will continue to monitor the situation and determine if additional cancellations are necessary and/or when suspensions can be lifted. We thank you for your patience.
All five of our stations remain fully staffed and ready to answer 9-1-1 calls. For additional COVID-19 information, visit Public Health – Seattle & King County at tinyurl.com/tjwrl2c
